Solstice Torch Run

What: Celebrate the darkest day of the year with a torch-lit run to Duluth’s greatest viewpoint.
Who: Any and all runners/hikers who like this idea
Where: Meet at Short Line Park Parking Area. 2270 Becks Rd, Duluth, MN
Route: Starting at Short Line Park, we will start with a 2 mile warm up run, then fire up the torches and head up to the top of Ely’s Peak. Expect ice, snow, steep terrain.
What to bring: Non-flammable clothing, shoe traction, headlamp, and a medieval torch. Please make your own torch! I made 20 spares last year and we ran out. I’ll bring plenty of fuel.
